Feather River Making Noise At #13 On Home Run 30 No. 7
While there is very little movement in the upper echelon of this week's CCCBCA Home Run 30 Rankings (March 2-8), Feather River College is one of a few teams that have been steadily climbing upward.
The Golden Eagles have the state's current longest win streak, now at 12 games, and have pushed up five spots to #13 while both Allan Hancock and Glendale made significant 6-slot jumps to #14 and #15, respectively.
Fresno City stays strong at #1, followed by #2 Santa Ana, #3 Ohlone, #4 El Camino, #5 Palomar, #6 San Joaquin Delta, #7 Cypress, #8 Santa Rosa, #9 Skyline and now #10 Riverside City, a team that moved up three positions into the top 10.
Modesto is at #11 while West Valley is making a move back up the rankings at #12, up four positions from a week earlier.
Another Big 8 Conference team is pushing forward as Sierra ascended 11 slots to #18. Grossmont flew on to the rankings at #21. Other teams making the new cut this week were Los Medanos at #29 and Cuesta at #30. Dropping out for now are Hartnell (was #24), Mt. San Jacinto (#27 last week) and Lassen (the previous #30).
The biggest dip went to Golden West, falling 11 rungs on the ladder to #26.
The South Region had a decided 17-team majority inside the Home Run 30.
