Coast South Pair Picked CCCBCA NorCal Player/Pitcher of the Week #8
Two Coast Conference South Division players--West Valley College sophomore Parker Kristall and Hartnell freshman Sam Sellars--are CCCBCA NorCal Player and Pitcher of the Week #8 (March 9-15).
At designated hitter, the 6-foot-4, power-hitting Kristall, from Heritage High and Perris, batted .385, slugged three home runs, drove in five RBI, drew three walks and stole a base. He's tied for second in the state in home runs with 10.
The 5-11 Sellars, from Los Angeles's Crescenta Valley High was dominant in his start this week. Sellars tossed a complete game, 1-hit shutout on Mar. 10, walking none and striking out 9 to earn the victory. His dominance helped the Panthers get a series victory over Cabrillo.
